David Gogo is a Canadian blues guitarist, singer-songwriter, and bandleader born March 18, 1969, in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Widely regarded as one of Canada’s premier blues-rock artists, he has built a decades-long career marked by relentless touring, powerful live performances, and an extensive discography. Gogo has received six Juno Award nominations and has been named Guitarist of the Year three times at the Maple Blues Awards, along with earning recognition as Musician of the Year. Known for his gritty vocals and fiery guitar work, he blends traditional blues influences with rock energy, creating a sound that is both roots-driven and contemporary. Over the course of his career, he has released more than a dozen solo albums, including titles such as Halfway To Memphis, Soul Bender, 17 Vultures, and YEAH!, showcasing his growth as a songwriter and performer. Currently signed to Cordova Bay Records, Gogo continues to tour internationally, maintaining a reputation as one of the hardest-working and most respected figures in Canadian blues music.
