In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Kingston Music Office is thrilled to present an unforgettable afternoon of music, conversation, and community. Taking place on Saturday March 7 from 1 to 4 PM at the Broom Factory, this event shines a spotlight on the remarkable talents of women and non-binary songwriters in Kingston.
The event, hosted by acclaimed musician Miss Emily, will feature performances by Piner, Luella, Atiari, and Kyra. Margaret Evans of Balancing Act will moderate fireside chat exploring songwriting, creativity, and the challenges of navigating the music industry as underrepresented voices.
In addition to the music, the event will showcase women-owned businesses aligned with the creative industries, further fostering collaboration and support. If you seek a meaningful way to celebrate International Women’s Day, this showcase promises an afternoon of inspiration and artistry.
This event is presented by Miss Emily and the Kingston Music Office, with additional support provided by CFRC and Balancing Act.
This event is all ages and seated. Seating is unassigned and is by general admission.
Kingston Music Office: The Kingston Music Office serves as the first point of contact for the music community and is a partnership between Tourism Kingston and the City of Kingston to lead the implementation of the Kingston Music Strategy and deliver programming and services in support of the local music community. The Music Office also supports Tourism Kingston strategies and plans, to deliver music tourism initiatives.
