Celtic Spirit is the name of our spring concert. We are pleased to be performing at Belmont United Church for the first time. Our special guests for this concert is the group Celtic Shift.
The Canadian Celtic Choir, founded in 1996 by Dan Surman (BFA, B.Ed), is a London-based SATB choir of about 50 members that has built a solid reputation as one of the most in-demand choirs in SW Ontario. Our artistic director is Paul Grambo, MMus, and we are accompanied by Stephen Holowitz, BMus, BEd. Our repertoire features songs from Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, and the Maritimes. We toured Newfoundland and Labrador in June 2025, where we performed five concerts. Tours are planned every 3-4 years. Our most recent CD is Winter-Songs of the Season (2025) which is available at our concerts for $10. Other recordings are available on our YouTube channel and website - celticchoir.ca
Celtic Shift plays Irish and Scottish traditional tunes with modern twists into jazz, rock and pop styles. The group members are: Stephen Holowitz, piano; Dave Nuttall, whistles; Amy Barton, fiddle. Located in London, Ontario Celtic Shift is pleased to be a part of the CCC's Celtic Spirit concert.
